How many times have you heard your teach say if you keep slipping up in school you will end up flipping burgers for the rest of your life? I use to hear that all the time as my GPA was only 1.82 because i never did my homework and usually want up and going until 9 or 10 am even though my school started at 7:35am. Most of my teachers said i would end up flipping burgers or some other dead end job if i didnt get a college degree (which i thought was odd considering my senior year i made more than any of my teachers...). But most people with college degrees have dead end jobs.. you hear people wanting to be doctors or lawyers and most people think they will be wealthy after they graduate from college, when in fact 46-47 out of 50 of graduates end up making an average living. they dont drive hundred thousand dollar cars or live in million dollar homes. sure that 20 or 3 out of 50 will, but those are the best of the best. it dosnt matter how hard you work, if you suck you suck. so what incentive dose any one have to waste there time in school. if you 16-200 years old and reading this chances are you parents may have gone to college. were are they now? probably living a normal lifestyle. do you fly first class when you travel? do you only stay in suites? probably not. if you do chances are regardless of weather your parents have a college degree they are self made. and how has college helped them really? if you ever enrolled in a business class they really teach you nothing about running a business.. sure they teach you how to register a business, tell you about different licenses you need and taxes you need to pay. But most people hire a lawyer for this stuff. I find it funny when people tell me if i went to college and learned about these things i would have to pay my lawyer $950 a year. Thats great and all but i woulda spent $80,000 in tuition alone to what save $950 a year and have to spend my time and energy? even if i did know how to do everything i would pay someone to do it for me anyway so whats the point? getting back to the importance of school, unless you play game shows like jeopardy or who wants to be a millionaire for a living, what do you classes in high school do you really need after you graduate? English? you probably learned everything you need to know by grade 6 or 7? math? maybe if you plan on being a scientist or an engineer. however it seemed to me that everything i "learned" in geometry in 9th grade i also learned in 3rd grade. and trigonometry seemed to be no differnt than algebra 1? how many times do we need to learn 1 + 1 = 2? The other classes were basically a joke. history, Physical education and economics. Because lets be honest. Who can realy get though life without knowing every generals name in the civil war and how to play basketball? economics was an odd class though, we didn't have an entrepreneur or some rich asshole teaching us but a public school teacher. This was kind of confused me because if im on a football team i wouldn't expect a baseball manager to be our coach so why were we learning economics from a guy who is on the bottom of the economic food chain? You may be thinking i just hate all teachers by now but your wrong. my mom is one. I have no clue why, but she is. All i heard for the last 10 years was her bitching about how she hates her school kids and how she dosnt get paid for all the overtime she puts in and the fact the somehow the people who should be cleaning the toilets end up being principals pisses her off so much. and all the while my high school dropout dad was sitting on the couch watching tv after he got home from work were he was being paid in 3 months what my mom made in a year. after seeing all this bullshit i was just about to dropout of high school. i had a job at the time but decided not to dropout because i did have a class which was probably the worst class in the schools history. We had a sub the whole year and we boxed, gambled, vandalized everything during the whole class. if you have ever seen those movies were the intercity kids terrorized their teachers, imagine that but worse with middle class white kids. somehow i broke 2 computers, cussed my teacher out, ripped up 3 books and never got a single refferal? probably because when the teacher did write one we would run to his desk grab it and rip it up. most of us just didnt give a fuck about anything that the administration did to us anymore because it was all bullshit anyway. you may think president buch is bad but i would vote for him as president of our retarded principal any day. if our principal was the president instead of being in iraq right now we would be fighting the Australians... you would have to know this guy to know what i mean but if you go to sickles high school in tampa florida, then you do... If your a english teacher and is reading this you are probably laffing at all the spelling errors and mistakes in this article and thinking what an idiot because theres no paragraphs, and this arcticle isnt organized at all. But thats why i make more money than you... your brainwashed into thinking that and you are the biggest hypocrites at all. you might be wondering what i mean by that.. how many times (if your a teacher) do you tell your students that the reason they dont have good grades is because there lazy? Teachers are the laziest people i know. Either that or pussies. there to lazy to get off there ass's and get out of their dead end teaching job. Or they might like teaching but are too fucking pussy to stand up and strike because you make the same as a mcdonalds manager who probably didnt waste 60 thousand dallors for college... All i ever heard from my mom is that teachers cant strike its aginst the law.. really? who gives a fuck, whats the worst that could happen? you spend a night in jail and loose you dead end job? god forbid you would have to get a new job somewhere else were the base salary would probably more than your current one. Hell im 18 and make over 200 thousand a year. i would be making more but highschool slowed me down. instead of working on my business i had to go to school to what? hope i get lucky would get into college to have a chance at that one position 100 other people are fighting for that pays half of what i make now? fuck that, if my goal in life was to drive a $40,000 bmw and get that nice 2000 sq ft house by the time im 30, id probably go to college, but to mean thats failing in life... id prefer the 4,000 sq ft house im about to buy and a Bentley im saving for now... something college cant offer me and something you dont and probably never will have. One last thing that pissed me off about high school was every one saying "in the real world bla bla bla"... i always found that to be some of the biggest bullshit. In the real world what? if i am on my cellphone my boss is gonna take it away and i cant get it until my mom comes in and picks it up herself? and what the fuck is the point of detention and in school suspension? first of all how does showing up for 20 minutes and sitting in an air condition room punish me? and in the "real world" when will my boss tell me to go in a room and copy 20 pages of work, serve food in the cafeteria for showing up late too many times? The oddest thing is the only person to really "punish" a kid is the judge on the mtv series "juvies" who makes the kids go to school every day... thats punishments not a fucking 2 day vacation... What i thought was the funniest thing was when the guidance counselor's told me after doing something "stupid" that i would be fired in the "real world". really? well then why dose it seem like every time some school employee dose something stupid, nothing happens? hell it seemed like the more dumb shit you do the more you get promoted...
